At BankGloucester, community is at the heart of everything we do. We take pride in supporting the Cape Ann and it’s surrounding communities and we demonstrate this through event sponsorships, volunteer work and more.
Our annual Banking for the Community program, which has been running since 2008, encourages the community to get involved and vote for their favorite local charitable organizations to receive monetary prizes.
Our commitment extends to education as well. Each year, we award $12,500 in scholarships to five high school graduates who demonstrate hard work, academic achievements, and community service.

Our community is the foundation of our business, and every year we commit to doing everything we can to help it thrive.
In 2008, we established “Banking for the Community.” The event, which runs each year throughout September, invites residents of Cape Ann, Ipswich, and surrounding communities to vote for their favorite local businesses and organizations. At the end of the month, votes are tallied, and prizes are awarded based on number of votes received.

BankGloucester believes in service to the community and supports students who exemplify this principle. Each year, we award $12,500 in scholarships to five high school graduates; each receiving $2,500 in recognition of their hard work, educational achievements, and community service. For more information and to apply for our scholarship program, students in their senior year should contact their guidance department to learn how to apply.
As part of our community initiative to make financial education more accessible to our neighbors, we have also partnered with Banzai, a financial education platform that is available to local schools free of charge. Banzai offers intuitive and engaging ways to learn about a variety of financial topics including budgeting, college preparation, and even the process of buying a home.
